Masterbatches are a solid or liquid additive for plastic used for coloring plastics (color Masterbatches) or imparting other properties to plastics (Additive Masterbatches). Masterbatches are a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives encapsulated during a heat process into a carrier resin, which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. Masterbatches allows the processor to colour raw polymer economically during the plastics manufacturing process.

Filler masterbatch is a cost-effective additive compound composed of calcium carbonate (), talc, or barium sulfate filler (up to 90%) combined with polymer resin (PE, PP) and additives. It is designed to reduce raw material costs, improve stiffness, rigidity, and thermal resistance in plastics. It also enhances processing efficiency and production speed.
